To clarify (because I'm not sure if you know or not) the psuedo-grimoire called "The Necronomicon" wasn't written by Lovecraft. He created the fictional book, which then had its name taken to be used by the authors of the psuedo-grimoire.
What a great portrait. I was just talking to someone about how hard it would be to illustrate a Lovecraft story, because his unspeakable, nameless horrors lose a lot of their power if you actually see them somewhere other than your head. One way to do it I guess is to inject a little humor, and make them cute. Ha! Maybe that's the way Lovecraft saw them... Great work!
